Striding to save lives...
Hello Community
I wanted to forward an email from a friend of mine who is doing a cross country ski marathon for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team in Training.
I was asked to be an Honoree for their Team along with some other people.
If you feel called to support her in raising money for Research for Blood Cancers please read on.....
Have an amazing weekend and don’t let the end of year and Holiday Madness take you away from that peaceful place inside of yourselves.

Dear Friends and Family –
For the third year in a row, I’m training to ski in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. Once again, I am training to cross-country ski 25km (about 15 miles) in The Tour of Anchorage.
This year, I am dedicating my season to two amazing friends who were diagnosed with forms of blood cancer since the 2006 Tour of Anchorage: Victoria is bravely and gracefully battling acute myelogenous leukemia (AML) in San Francisco, while one of my oldest and dearest friends, Barbara, is tackling B-cell lymphoma with humor and confidence in West Virginia.
Both of these women are on their way to beating these ugly diseases. I love them both. It is because of them that I am compelled to brush off my skis, get up at 4:00am every other Saturday during ski season, hit the snow again, and ask for your support.
I need to raise a minimum of $4,200 in order to participate, but my personal goal is to raise at least $8,000. I know I can do it because, with the generosity of my supporters, I raised $7,000 last year and the year before.
The Tour of Anchorage (http://www.tourofanchorage.com) takes place March 4, 2007. I will have turned 54 by then. If you can make a donation of $54, one for each year of my life, that would be fabulous. Of course, a donation of any size is greatly appreciated.

If you're not comfortable making a donation online, please make a check out to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and mail it to me:
